About the authors

A man and a woman holding up adventurous signs.

The first Guerilla Film Makers Handbook was written by Chris Jones and Genevieve Jolliffe, veterans of independent film making in the UK.

They told their story, of how they made three low-budget feature films, worked with Oscar-nominated actors… and Harrison Ford’s brother, received a royal audience at the Palace, became a target for Turkish terrorists and ended up in a police cell – yet lived to tell the tale.

The book became a phenomenon and has been updated many times as technology has evolved.

Chris now works out of Ealing Studios in West London where he makes films, runs workshops and is head of the London Screenwriters’ Festival. Genevieve moved to LA where she met and married Andrew, the third member of the Guerilla Film Makers Handbook team. They have far too many kids, dogs and cats!
